NCAA Championship : Gonzaga vs. North Carolina

The 2017 NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship Game will feature two number 1 seeds, Gonzaga and North Carolina. I will preview the key players for each team and who I think will win.

Nigel Williams-Goss

This guard for Gonzaga is their leader in points and assists, with 16.9 points per game and 4.7 assists per game. He will be running their offense, and look for them to have him run a lot of pick and rolls with center Przemek Karnowski with Williams-Goss having the option of shooting or passing it inside.

North Carolina

Justin Jackson

Jackson is their leading scorer with 18.3 points per game. He is not a great passer or rebounder, but he can surprise even the best defenders by making 3 pointers. He is a power forward, but some consider him a point forward because of his great shooting ability.

My Pick

I believe that the Gonzaga Bulldogs will be the champions tonight because they have more playmakers on their team. They can move the ball around better than UNC and have a better center that North Carolina. Prepare for one of the quickest-paced championship games, because both of these teams play fast basketball.

Finally, I would like to share my bracket with everyone. Click here to view my bracket. Thanks!

Kansas Wins

Kansas just knocked off Michigan State to clinch a spot to the Sweet 16. The final score was 90-70. Leading the scoring for the Jayhawks was Josh Jackson with 23. The Spartans leading scorer was Miles Bridges with 22.

Good Matchups in the NCAA Tournament Today

In case you are going to be watching basketball all day today, this post highlights 3 of the best games on.

3. Baylor vs. USC

Baylor has always struggled in NCAA Tournament games, and USC has been overlooked this year in the Pac-12, with observers focusing on Oregon, UCLA, and Arizona. Look for a close game

Ben’s Pick: Baylor

2. Michigan vs. Louisville

Hopefully, everyone saw the last time these teams met in the tournament when they played each other in the 2013 title game. This time, Michigan is riding a hot streak with wins in 10 of their last 12, while Louisville is a 2 seed that lost in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament. Look for an upset!

Ben’s Pick: Michigan

1. UCLA vs. Cincinnati

This matchup features the high-scoring UCLA team that earned itself a three seed in this tournament and the 30-5 Bearcats of Cincy. UCLA will have to play a good game if they want to find themselves in the Sweet 16.

Ben’s Pick: UCLA

Villanova Defeated

In case you have not heard, Villanova has just been upset in the NCAA Tournament by Wisconsin 65-62. Leading the scoring for the Badgers was Nigel Hayes with 19, while the leading scorer for the Wildcats was Josh Hart with 19 as well. Surely this will bust a lot of brackets, including mine.
